Joel Veness is a Sydney based Muralist known for his bold exploration of the “Head” as a Central Motif. His large scale works transform walls into striking works that are instantly recognisable, powerful, and unforgettable.

Joel studied Fine Arts at the National Art School in Sydney, majoring in Painting, and went on to further his skills in Art Direction, Graphic Design, and Interior Architecture at Enmore Design Centre. This diverse training gives his Murals a unique balance of Fine Art depth and Design precision.

His work has been collected both locally and Internationally, and has appeared in leading publications including Russh Magazine, Vogue, and Time Out. He has also been interviewed about his practice with Destination NSW, and has exhibited with Curatorial+Co, one of Sydney’s most respected Contemporary Galleries.

In 2020, Joel created the 80ft mural Renegades of Funk in Paddington, a work inspired by Easter Island that was voted one of the must see murals by Inside Out Magazine.

Every project Joel undertakes is Bespoke, one of a kind, and Designed to leave a lasting impact. His signature focus on the Head as a symbol of character, identity, and emotion has become his Artistic hallmark.
